Women’s study unit plays an active role in this institution by empowering the girls,fostering cordial relations among the student community and thus creating an ambiance of amity and cordiality in the campus.WSU provides motivation,instills confidence,creates awareness regarding legal and gender rights,sensitizes on social issues,empowers them to take right decisions in life and career,thereby holding them in to resilient individuals and responsible persons.

The women’s study unit ,U.I.T,Kottarakara,commenced its activities with the inauguration by Dr.Suman Alexander(Former principal,S.G.College,Kottarakara) on March 8,2021.After this ,we conducted awareness classes for the girls along with several cultural activities.

The activities and programmes in collaboration with NSS unit includes various awareness programs,enlightening talks and lectures by dignitaries on the topics such as “Cyber crime and Cyber security” by Adv.N.Satheesh Chandran , ”Gender Sensitization training programme” by Women and Child Development Department etc.
